Unhappy I can't change my heroes pets?

When the game first came out i attained the 2 necro heros and the 2 ranger heros. I decided to get them all pets so I took them to Tanglewood Copse and got them all white tigers. This weekend I thought it would be fun to make a trapper team with my heros and one by one get them spiders. But then after everything was set to go I tried to find an animal tamer that would take my hero's pets. I couldn't find on anywhere and searched my skills menu for that option. No success. I will be seriously heart broken if I can't get my BP hero a spidey. Someone shed some light on this problem.

It's a known problem, and afaik nobody has come up with a solution yet.

Then all the more reason to keep the subject open. For beastmasters this is a serious problem. There is absolutely no warning that you will be stuck with the pet, and after reading all the previous posts there seems to be a general silence from the A-Net staff about this problem. They did not warn me in anyway that by pressing the charm animal button on my hero's task bar that I would be forever altering my account. That kind of decision requires a warning. I feel that it is irresponsible of A-Net for not giving this subject serious attention.

The dev team knows about this issue. Unfortunately there's not much more I can pass on to you at this stage, hence the general lack of comments in other threads.

All I can say is be patient. I'm keen to be swapping the Flamingo one of my heroes has for a Lion(ess)...

My Koss currently has a Flamingo LOL.. I thought it suited him for some reason :-)

One of my monk heros has a Warthog, and one of my ranger heros has a lioness.

I wish I had waited until later in the game to cap pets though, the rat and the hyena look pretty good.

I'll be looking forward to this change when it happens!

>.> Hey Alex, are you guys looking into the lack of Dire/Hearty/Elder pets for PVP characters?

If such an option were added, then PVE players should to be allowed to charm at least 3 pets <.<;;

Wouldn't it be cool if you could get a new pet without nuking the olde one. Pay a fee for the trainer to keep your olde pet(s) while you take out the new. Then if you wanted to play with Rusty the flamingo one more time you could.

OK here is an idea, you can have multiple versions of the same skill right? like sundering/pentrating attack, so why not multiple versions of the skill charm animal? tame animal?
Each one could then be used for a different pet and you could choose which to equip.

Or it could work like a signet of capture - you load the charm animal skill on, when you charm an animal the charm animal skill is replaced with charmed lion, then you can go and buy another charm animal skill and charm a different animal.

You could use a method similar to the elite skill management to make sure you only bring one pet.

Lol. If that were the case, pets would become the next Pokemon STD fad. Gotta catch 'em all?...

If PvP players were given a choice on their animal, it might be done so that they choose what animal they want and what they want it to be (i.e. Dire/Hearty/Elder) and it is automatically lvl20. If they want to have a different one, then just remake it. It could be done through the Equipment Menu or something.

And I still think Charm Animal and Comfort Animal should be the same skill...

Lucky for me, I waited until I had finnished the game to get pets for my ranger heroes. Magrid with her Lioness, and Jin with her Crocodile. Now if only I could name them...
